Visit the new 'Railroad Exhibit' at the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum for an Olde Tyme Christmas.
December 2007 - The Museum grounds are filled will holiday decorations and activities.  Visit the Railroad Exhibit as part of your tour!  Over 3,000 square feet of train displays will take you back to the early days of railroading in Mississippi.

October 2006
- In November, JSME will unveil Phase 1 of the multi-phased exhibits in the Heritage Center at the Ag Museum.  Phase 1 consists of the N, HO and O gauge displays, occupying 3,000 square feet in the Museum.  The exhibits portray the importance of railroading to the development of Agriculture and Forestry in Mississippi.  A Grand Opening is being planned for the First Quarter of 2007.

January 2006
- JSME constructed an 8x12 foot Lionel/Department 56 Christmas layout for the lobby and an "Old Tyme" G scale layout for the Museum interior.  Both were enjoyed by hundreds upon hundreds of visitors.  The Museum reported an increase in holiday traffic over prior years, which is the hopeful outcome of our efforts.  For the new year, JSME is installing the base of the new 80 foot long N scale layout depicting the Jackson railroad infrastructure.

Moving to the Mississippi Ag Museum. - August 2004
Exciting times are ahead as JSME charts a new course with the Ag Museum.  Our equipment is in storage as we make plans for the future.  Our first project will be a highly detailed HO display in the Main Building on the Museum grounds.  We can't reveal everything right now, but these are exciting times!! Metro Station leaves Metrocenter Mall. July 2004
After 8 years at Metrocenter Mall in Jackson, we, in 4 weeks, dismantled the layouts of Metro Station to free our space for future tenant.  We thank Metrocenter for their support in helping us raise over $80,000 for the Mississippi Children's Home Society Get on the email list to find out where to find us in the future.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2003 WINNER OF THE HO TRAIN SET! - December, 2003
Congratulations to Kevin Sterling for winning the 2003 Bachman Spectrum HO Train Set donated by HobbyTown USA. David Hartman, meteorologist with WAPT, once again drew the winning ticket during the live weather broadcast from Metro Station on 12/18/03. 

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2002 ELECTRIC TRAIN WINNER! - December, 2002
Congratulations to 8-year-old Zack A. (pictured with sister Alex) for winning the 2002 MTH Train Set donated by HobbyTown USA. David Hartman, meteorologist with WAPT, drew the winning ticket during the live weather broadcast from Metro Station on 12/20/02. Over $2,000 was raised and will be used to enhance the display for the benefit of all.

JSME awarded 2001 Friends of Children Award by the Mississippi Children's Home Society. - Spring, 2002
JSME is honored to be the recipient of this annual award. Since 1996, MCHS and JSME have partnered to bring happiness to thousands of children. Presented at the MCHS Annual Meeting, this award was accepted on behalf of over 30 volunteer club members who work throughout the year to make Metro Station possible.

Metro Station meets $8,000 donation goal for the Mississippi Children's Home Society. - January, 2002
Thanks to the over 5,000 visitors who made Metro Station 2001 a success. We encourage you to get on our email list to be notified of upcoming Open Houses. Toy Trains hold a special place in our memories and imaginations.
